This post is about autumn, even though for the next few days in Pasadena it is going to be stupid hot...over 100 degrees tomorrow. It feels more like summer. There is a possibility that I will turn into a dried apricot, but that isn't for sure.
I haven't seen autumn since 2014. For me, a person from St. Petersburg, it is really strange to say that I haven't experience fall in several years. It is impossible! Well, it happened. And now I am speaking with sadness because the older I get, the more I start liking having four seasons instead of this giant amorphous pseudo-summer that never seems to end! Every season has its own charm. Autumn for me is very cozy--you just want to hug people and get hugged back--more reading, walking under an umbrella (not in LA though), and wrap a scarf around your neck, and drink lots of tea and coffee.
Not a long time ago, Steven, my mom (who is visiting!!!!), and I decided to go see the REAL fall, or at least the closest nearby approximation we could find. Thankfully, it isn't to far away. About two hours from LA in the mountains of San Bernardino there is a little town on Big Bear Lake. It is located at about 2000 meters elevation, which is why the temperature there is so much lower compared to rest of the city of angels.
В этом посте у меня осень, а ближайшие три дня у нас будет лето, да ещё какое... +38! Есть вероятность того, что я превращусь в курагу, но это не точно.
Я не видела осень с 2014 года. Для меня, как петербурженки, очень странно говорить, что я пропустила осень на протяжении скольких-то лет. Такого быть не может! Может. И теперь я говорю это с сожалением, так как становясь старше мне начинают нравится все сезоны. В каждом есть свои прелести и особенности. Осень - очень уютна, хочется чаще обниматься, больше читать, гулять под зонтом ( это не про ЛА), заворачиваться в шарф и пить много чая и кофе.
Недавно мы решили посмотреть на настоящую осень. Благо для этого далеко ехать не надо. В двух часах езды от Лос-Анджелеса, в горах Сан-Бернардино, есть городок на озере Big Bear Lake. Он находится на высоте около 2000 метров, поэтому температура там ниже градусов на 15 по сравнению с городом Ангелов.
This autumn I wanted to reread my favorite Harry Potter, which is why I took the book on our little trip. Actually, I didn't get much of a chance to read it except during my meticulously posed photos (hehe). But I hope you will believe me that I am actually reading it off camera as well. There was so much beauty around us that there wasn't any time to read--I just wanted to take as many pictures as possible.

Этой осенью мне очень захотелось перечитать Гарри Поттера, поэтому в нашу маленькую поездку я взяла с собой книгу. Правда, почитать мне так и не удалось, кроме как для фотографий ,позер Но вы же мне и так поверите, что я его читаю не только на камеру. Вокруг нас было столько красоты, что не было времени сидеть и читать, а хотелось как можно больше заснять на фотоаппарат.
Наберитесь терпения и листайте, листайте, любуйтесь красотой и ещё раз листайте фотографии.
